FloraStar administers two plant trialing programs, one for new
plants, the FloraStar New Variety Trial, and another
designed to develop production information for growers, the
Elite Performer Trial. Growers selecting a variety that has
won a FloraStar award can be sure they'll get a great crop.
FloraStar New Variety Trial
by FloraStar
A North American, grower judged, new variety evaluation for
container plants.
The FloraStar New Variety Trial is FloraStar's
original program, founded in 1989. This comparison trial pits
new flowering and foliage pot plants or spring/bedding plants
for containers against known industry standards.
Now called the "FloraStar New Variety Award" the Winners Trial is conducted at 20 greenhouses and universities
across the US. (More)
